The 2016-17 NCAA wrestling season wrapped up less than a week ago.
So looking ahead to 2017-18 and analyzing possible lineups is long overdue, right?
Northern Iowa impressed during parts of the NCAA Championships in St. Louis, finishing 18th as a team and posting All-American finishes from Drew Foster and Max Thomsen.
Coach Doug Schwab’s team will return six of its seven NCAA qualifiers to set expectations of breaking into college wrestling’s top tier.
“These guys care about each other and keep making each other better,” Schwab said at Scottrade Center last week. “We’ve just got to keep raising the level.
