Waterloo, Iowa – Two of the Cedar Valley's favorite home teams will work together to help the Northeast Iowa Food Bank on Saturday, March 26th during a Waterloo Black Hawks home game at Young Arena.
On Panther Night, the Hawks will take the ice wearing the purple and gold of the University of Northern Iowa Panthers, backed by mascot T.C. and the UNI cheer squad. The first-of-its-kind partnership between the team and university is made possible by Tyson Fresh Meats, who is sponsoring the jerseys. UNI students, staff, and alumni can take advantage of discounted game tickets, and after the matchup against the Green Bay Gamblers, the Hawks/Panthers sweaters will be auctioned to benefit the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, which serves the Cedar Valley within its 16-county service area.
