NORMAL, Ill. --- UNI tennis faced a pair of stout Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) opponents over the weekend as the Panthers fell to the Bradley Braves in a narrow 4-3 dual loss on Saturday, before falling in a 7-0 shutout to the Illinois State Redbirds on Sunday.
Opening the weekend on Saturday afternoon in Peoria, Andrijana Brkic earned her sixth consecutive singles victory with a three-set win over Bradley's Mariia Pukhina. Brkic dropped the first set 7-6 in a tiebreak before rolling to 6-0 wins in the final two frames.
