ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The UNI track and field program landed 16 student-athletes on the 2017 Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Team for the 2017 track and field season, it was announced today.
Student-athletes had to hold a 3.2 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, and place in the top-eight of an individual event or top three in a relay event at the indoor out outdoor championships to qualify.
On the men's side, , and headline the group, earning honors from both the indoor and outdoor season. McCalla has been named to the Scholar-Athlete team for the third straight season while Holtz and Walski are receiving their second.
