Box Score CHENEY, Wash. – Despite having a lead 17-point lead at halftime, the University of Northern Iowa football program couldn't come out on top after a fourth quarter shootout, falling 30-34.
UNI held a 24-7 lead at halftime, but Eastern Washington scored 21 unanswered points to take a 28-24 lead with 14:25 left to play in the game. Senior Matt Easley hit two field goals, including a career-long 49-yarder to take a 30-28 lead with less than five minutes to play, but EWU was able to drive down field and get into field goal range.
