IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team fell to the Iowa Hawkeyes on Sunday afternoon, 88-39. UNI is 4-4 overall this season.
The Hawkeyes shot an astounding 69-percent from the arc and 61-percent overall against the Panthers, holding UNI to just 21-percent from the field.
Senior Madison Weekly scored a team-high 12 points, also adding two assists and a career-high four steals. Mikaela Morgan added seven points while Hannah Schonhardt led the Panthers in rebounds with eight.
Iowa came out of the gate shooting 63-percent from the field in the first quarter and 83-percent from the three while UNI shot 18-percent from both.
