CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — Klint Carlson’s cross-court heave never stood a chance, sailing high and wide over everyone. The pass easily cleared the floor chairs before bounding into a small section of empty purple seats. Standing just a few feet in front of the opposing bench, a wide smile slowly crept onto the Northern Iowa forward’s face.
All Carlson could do was laugh.
