The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team saw its unbeaten home record fall Sunday afternoon, falling to instate rival Iowa State 1-0.
It was senior day for the Panthers as they honored Ali Heithoff, Camille Dela Cruz, Amber Nieland, Mary Brandt, and Whitney Blunt.
The first half of the match was a physical battle, with both teams attempting to set the tone. Chances were few and far between with only two shots between the teams.
The second half followed a similar script until Iowa State's Klasey Medelberg sent an attempted cross into the box that curled its way into the net.
