CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI men's basketball's AJ Green has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. It is the second time Green has earned the honor this season after previously earning recognition on Nov. 29.
Green, a junior, led the Panthers in scoring in both of UNI wins last week, including 24 points in a home victory over Jackson State, and a 29-point performance on the road on Saturday at Marshall. With his efforts, Green moved to No. 10 on UNI's all-time scoring list with 1,354 total points, passing former Panther Kwadzo Ahelegbe.
