DeKALB – Northern Illinois senior defensive end Joe Sanders had to play catch-up in his first season with the Huskies last year.
After coming to the team as a junior college transfer just before fall camp of the 2016 season, Sanders is becoming a playmaker for the Huskies' defensive line in his first spring at Northern Illinois.
"I came in late last year, so I had to get the playbook real fast, but now I have a couple months under my belt and I'm having fun and I can just go. I know my plays, I know my technique," Sanders said.
