DENTON -- Memories of the last time North Texas played in bowl game came flooding back for Kenny Buyers the moment he found out the Mean Green were headed to the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
UNT will face Army on Tuesday at the Cotton Bowl, the site of one of the finest games of Buyers' career.
The senior made the game-clinching interception in the Mean Green's 36-14 win over UNLV in the Heart of Dallas Bowl at the end of the 2013 season. Buyers and a handful of other seniors have been fighting and clawing ever since to get back to the postseason before their careers come to a close.
