This week was a big one for UNC recruiting. Football received a commitment from one of the top in-state players for the first time in what seems like forever, and a couple of basketball recruiting pictures started to wind down and/or solidify. Let’s roll:
- With little comparative preamble, 2020 running back Elijah Burris committed to the Tar Heels on Monday. Burris isn’t rated on all services, but 247 has him as a solid 3-star guy: 10th best player in the state, 56th at his position, and 682nd overall player in the country. UNC was his only scholarship offer when he committed, but he’s drawn interest from schools such as Ohio State, Purdue, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.
