The Owings Mills, Maryland product signed a letter of intent in the spring of 2014. Cohen was a true freshman for the Tar Heels during the 2014 season, playing in all 13 games.
He started as a right guard in two of the games.
During the summer of 2015, Cohen asked for his release from his scholarship to the University of North Carolina. UNC granted him his release and he left the football program
In 2016, Cohen signed with the University of Virginia; however, he never enrolled with the Cavaliers.
The Tar Heels will appreciate Cohen’s services on the offensive line during the 2017 season.
