BLACKSBURG, Va. — The University of North Carolina track and field teams finished Doc Hale VT Elite with some strong performances from the field events. Several Tar Heels claimed personal records on the day.
Alexis Gannon had her best performance in a Carolina uniform jumping 41-7 ¾ (12.69 meters) in the triple jump to take second overall. Gannon’s jump ranks fourth in the ACC this year.
Darryl Shaw also made the podium with a lifetime best jump of 50-3 ¼ in the men’s triple jump. That’s good for second in the ACC this year.
