With it having been a month since that horrific final, Carolina fans turn their attention to this upcoming season. One thing they should be excited to see is the familiar presence of Kennedy Meeks who announced he is returning to school.
That news gives hope to UNC fans everywhere.
Last season was not Kennedy’s best. That would’ve been the year before when he averaged 11.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He suffered a knee injury this past year and missed seven games right around the new year.
Though UNC went 7-0 during that span, in a large part to the inspired play of Brice Johnson, the Tar Heel faithful know they wouldn’t have made it to the National Championship without the big man in the middle.
