The North Carolina Tar Heels and Boston College Golden Eagles had to wait an extra day and multiple rain delays before both teams were able to take the field. That finally happened on Thursday morning.
After another rain delay on Thursday, the Tar Heels and Golden Eagles finally played their game and it wasn’t even close.
The Tar Heels rolled all over the Golden Eagles, opening up their 2017 ACC Tournament with a 10-0 win.
UNC looked sharp throughout the game, getting on the board with an Ashton McGee triple in the first inning that scored two runs.
