Scotland High School graduate Jonathan Smith is expected to make a significant contribution on UNC's defense as a true freshman this fall. Smith, the two-time Southeastern 4-A Conference Defensive Player of the Year, enrolled a semester early in college and participated in spring practice with the Tar Heels. (Fayetteville Observer)
