LOS ANGELES --- Zack Gahagan's two-run homer sparked a five-run seventh as No. 16 North Carolina secured a series win with a 14-5 victory over No. 9 UCLA Sunday afternoon at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Tyler Ramirez also homered for the Tar Heels, who handed the Bruins their first home series loss since 2014.
Five different Tar Heels finished with two hits including Ramirez, who added a double to go with his three-run tape measure shot in the first. Cole Aker (1-1) picked up his first career victory on the mound after working 2.1 shutout innings in relief.
