INDIANAPOLIS - Featuring top seeds Hayley Carter and Whitney Kay of North Carolina, the NCAA released the draws for the NCAA Women’s Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships that begin Wednesday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Carter, the No. 1 singles seed, will face Lauren Chypyha of Wisconsin in the Round of 64. Carter owns a 44-4 singles record this season, and has been the top-ranked player in the nation since March 8.
No. 41 Kay is slated to take on Georgia’s 28th-ranked Kennedy Shaffer on Wednesday, and No. 57 freshman Jessie Aney will battle No. 32 Astra Sharma of Vanderbilt in her NCAA singles debut.
