One of the stories of the Georgia Tech game involved North Carolina’s continued struggles during minutes when key starters are resting on the bench. Against the Jackets, UNC led 74-48 in 31.5 minutes with 0 or 1 freshman on the floor. However, in the 8.5 minutes with multiple rookies on the court, the Tar Heels were outscored 18-6.
