On Wednesday afternoon, North Carolina head coach Roy Williams was a guest on the Dan Patrick show.
The interview began with small talk but quickly moved to questions about Williams’ health and the Washington Post article that brought the questions to light.
Throughout the article, Washington Post writer Kent Babb talks about UNC’s academic fraud scandal, Williams’ health and the apparent stress that they’ve caused him. Unfortunately though, it appears that Babb got creative and took some liberties in writing his piece.
When Patrick asked the two-time national champion coach about the validity of the article, Williams had this to say:
“You know, Dan, I’ll try to treat this lightly because I could deal with it much more strongly,” Williams said.
