CHAPEL HILL – Carolina volleyball is excited to announce the schedule for the upcoming 2017 season. The fall slate, which features three 2016 conference champions, four top-15 opponents and seven 2016 NCAA Tournament qualifiers, opens on Aug. 25 in Madison, Wisconsin. The Tar Heels' home opener is on Friday, Sept. 8, against LIU Brooklyn in the first of two consecutive nonconference home weekends, while UNC begins to defend its 2016 Atlantic Coast Conference title on Friday, Sept. 22, at NC State.
“What we look for overall is that the nonconference season will prepare us,” said head coach Joe Sagula.
