CHAPEL HILL - Sophomore Marika Akkerman was a perfect 3-0 on Friday during the first day of the Kitty Harrison Invitational at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
Akkerman opened the day with a doubles win alongside classmate Cassandra Vazquez. Later in the morning, she teamed with freshman Chloe Ouellet-Pizer for another doubles victory.
In the afternoon, she picked up a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Rice’s Alison Ho.
