NC State and Georgia schedule home-and-home series, per report

NC State and Georgia have agreed to a home-and-home football series, according to a report from Mark Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald. The first game is scheduled for Athens in 2033, with a game in Raleigh the following season.

This is an exciting addition to NC State’s future non-conference schedules and— heeeey, wait a minute, Georgia’s not in the Big Ten or the Pac-12! The Alliance is not going to like this. The Alliance is not going to like this at all!

Anyway, goes to show what that elaborately public handshake agreement is worth. With the addition of UGA, NC State has at least one power-conference opponent lined up for each season through 2035, and there’s still not a single Big Ten or Pac-12 team among them.
