NC State announced Friday evening, just as the Kevin Keatts news was hitting, that redshirt freshman Johnny Frasier has left the football program. Frasier, who played sparingly during his brief time in Raleigh, missed a chunk of last season with a shoulder injury.

Frasier has been limited this spring by the injury, which ended his season in early November. Even before getting hurt, Frasier was never much of a factor at running back for NC State, and that probably would have remained the case in 2017.
