This just in: Not everyone will challenge for the Stanley Cup this spring.
Some teams will merely be speed bumps along the way to the celebratory parade.
But that doesn't mean there isn't at least something fans of each of the NHL's 32 franchises ought to wake up and feel good about, for whatever reason, now that one of the league's most significant calendar moments—the trade deadline—has come and gone.
The B/R hockey team took it upon itself to take a lap through the league and catalog those reasons, city by city and division by division, whether they're because of a significant acquisition, a significant departure, or a significant step toward a better future.
