NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Nashville captain Shea Weber has suffered a lower-body injury in the second period of Game 2 against Chicago and will not return.

The Predators announced Weber's status late in the second period.

Weber was seen walking gingerly to the locker room midway about nine minutes into the second barely putting weight on his right leg.
