Lady Gaga opened the halftime show at NRG Stadium for Super Bowl LI.
In the weeks leading up to Gaga's performance, it was reported that she was planning to perform on the stadium's roof and could take a political stand against President Trump. Gaga was a Hillary Clinton supporter and performed at the Democratic presidential candidate's final rally in North Carolina.
Before the game, Gaga was told by NRA TV commentator Bill Whittle to leave out any political statements out of her 13-minute Super Bowl performance.
