Stephen Jones: Cowboys undecided on Hardy offer

INDIANAPOLIS -- Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones insists the team has not decided whether it will attempt to keep defensive end Greg Hardy.

Hardy is set to become a free agent in March after playing out a one-year deal that paid him roughly $8.8 million but did not contain any guaranteed money. After serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy stemming from a domestic violence incident in 2014, Hardy had six sacks and 32 quarterback pressures.

"I think he played well for us," Jones said. "You know, I think you pay a guy that kind of money.
