Jets Put Last Puzzle Piece in Place, Just in Time

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — On his first official day of his second season as a Jet, Ryan Fitzpatrick threw two interceptions in team drills. He also tossed what Brandon Marshall called the best deep ball Fitzpatrick had ever thrown him, and it just might have been: a 50-yard parabola that caught Marshall in stride down the sideline.

Marshall had been waiting five months for this precise moment, ever since free agency dawned in March with Fitzpatrick and the Jets at a contractual impasse. Marshall flooded him with phone calls and text messages and social media videos imploring him to return.
