Texans PR officially confirmed that Clowney was officially downgraded to out and won't travel with the team.
Durability has been an issue for Clowney ever since the Texans selected first overall in the 2014 draft. He only played four games as a rookie while battling a knee injury and eventually had microfracture surgery in December 2014.
