Indianapolis Colts lose second-leading WR Moncrief 4-6 weeks with fractured scapula

If Andrew Luck's Colts are to climb out of their 0-2 hole, they'll have to do it without second-leading receiver Donte Moncrief, who'll miss 4-6 weeks with a fractured scapula, Chuck Pagano confirmed Wednesday.

Moncrief, the Colts' third-year receiver, has seven catches for 73 yards and a touchdown. In his second season, in 2015, he led Indianapolis with six touchdowns, finishing second on the club in catches (64) and yards (733).

Luck has a strong remaining arsenal including T.Y. Hilton, ascending second-year speedster Phillip Dorsett and tight end Dwayne Allen, but he lacks a wideout with the combination of size, speed and leaping ability of Moncrief.
