Greg Hardy relinquishes guns he turned over to sheriff

AP

When Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy was arrested on domestic violence charges in North Carolina last year, he was forced by a judge’s order to surrender 10 guns to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff.

Hardy was convicted of assaulting Nicole Holder, who said he owned 25-30 guns in all, in a bench trial last year. Hardy appealed that verdict, which set up a jury trial on the same charges.

Hardy owned the guns legally, but he won’t be getting them back after charges were dismissed earlier this year when Holder failed to appear for the start of the jury trial.
