Jets defensive end Leonard Williams vs. Cleveland left tackle Joe Thomas
Kacy Rodgers, the Jets’ defensive coordinator, said that Williams, a first-round pick, was “everything we thought he’d be.” His first real chance to prove it will come against one of the best left tackles in the N.F.L. Thrust into a starting role with Sheldon Richardson suspended, Williams must contend with Thomas, an eight-time Pro Bowler who has played every offensive snap since being drafted No. 3 over all in 2007.
