The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox have a storied history between the two franchises. Tensions are always high when they face off, whether at the Stadium or at Fenway.
As of late, the rivalry has died down. There are no fights like the Yankees-Red Sox brawls in the late 70s, the early 90s and the early 2000s. It all seems to be butterflies and rainbows when the Yankees and Sox match up recently.
The Yankees, however, just exercised their power while simultaneously earning their “Evil Empire” nickname. In fact, the Yankees made one trade and quite possibly reignited the age-old war between the two rivals.
