Starlin Castro’s future may be at 3rd due to this Yankees prospect

Gleyber Torres made his first trip to New York this week and on Tuesday, he visited Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees are counting on the 20-year-old shortstop, the highlight of the trade that sent Aroldis Chapman to the Cubs in July, to be a major part of the future. And if that turns out to be the case, Starlin Castro sounds open to move to third.

“It was exciting to get to see Yankee Stadium in real life,” Torres said through a translator.

Torres already was well-regarded even before he went to the Arizona Fall League and won the MVP award, but the 20-year-old, who is expected to open the season with Double-A Trenton, is trying not to get ahead of himself.
