MLB hot stove roundup: Oakland Athletics ready to deal

Happy Thanksgiving. There's more cooking right now on the hot stove than just a turkey.

The A's look like they're ready to wheel and deal this offseason. They traded for infielder Jed Lowrie Wednesday and there seems to be more trades coming. Brett Lawrie, the 25-year-old infielder, could be dealt this offseason, Susan Sussler of the San Francisco Chronicle reports, while there's also been interest in Danny Valencia.

That would make the A's another American League West team that's busy this offseason. The Mariners have been extremely active and there's still a priority for new general manager Jerry Dipoto to re-sign starter Hisashi Iwakuma, CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports.
