NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Paul O’Neill isn’t the only former New York Yankee who is backing Donald Trump for president.
Johnny Damon, who won a World Series with the Yanks in 2009, told the New York Daily News he will be voting for the Republican presidential hopeful.
“I want (Trump) for president,” Damon told the Daily News. “I’m a Trump fan ever since I met him seven or eight years ago. Everything he does, he does first-class – his hotels, his businesses, his golf courses. The issues all the other politicians failed to discuss, (Trump) is bringing us up to speed.
