Dustin Ackley lands on DL with dislocated shoulder

TORONTO — The Yankees’ first-base outlook became a little more cloudy on Monday with Dustin Ackley heading to the 15-day disabled list with a dislocated right shoulder. Ackley suffered the injury in the Yankees’ 2-1 victory Sunday in Tampa Bay, forcing Mark Teixeira, who has not started the past five games because of neck spasms, to enter the game.

Infielder Rob Refsnyder was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to take Ackley’s place on the roster. Righty Luis Severino was optioned to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after being reinstated from the 15-day disabled list.

The Yankees begin a three-game series against the Blue Jays on Monday night, with Ivan Nova facing Toronto’s Marco Estrada.
