Didi Gregorius possibly out for season with cartilage tear in wrist

Less than 24 hours after celebrating the clinching of a Wild Card spot, the Yankees suffered two losses. First, the team dropped the series finale to the Orioles in deflating fashion. The worse loss, however, came with Aaron Boone’s postgame conference. It’s here that he told reporters that Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius suffered a cartilage tear in his right wrist.

The injury occurred last night, as Gregorius scored on Aaron Hicks’ walk-off hit. Didi slid head first into home, scoring the winning run, but tearing the cartilage in his wrist in the process.
