22-year old Albert Abreu has been named Player of the Week in the Arizona Fall League.

RHP Albert Abreu was named AFL Player of the Week today after recording 8K over 5.0 scoreless innings (2H, 2BB) on 10/17 at Glendale.

Abreu joined the Yankees last offseason, as he came over from Houston as one of the players featured in the Brian McCann trade. The Dominican native started 2017 at the Rookie level, but was promoted to High-A Tampa early in the season.

Through four starts in the Arizona Fall League, Abreu has recorded an impeccable 0.
