ST. PETERSBURG -- For the first time since July 22, Alex Rodriguez was back in the Yankees' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays. The 41-year-old designated hitter batted cleanup after getting just one at-bat since his last start.
"He's meant a lot to this organization," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "He's meant a lot to the success that we've had here. But my job is to put out what I feel is the best lineup every day. And that's what I try to do. I'm not always going to be right where I hit guys.
