Britton gives the Yankees another potentially shutdown late-inning reliever to add to their crew of them. If closer Aroldis Chapman (left knee tendinitis) can stay healthy, the Yankees’ relief corp could be the best of all time. Cashman also dealt for Britton, possibly, because he hasn’t been able to secure the starting pitching target he wants and saw an opportunity to bolster an already dominant bullpen.
