Yankees Rumors: Derek Jeter unsure if Alex Rodriguez will be in camp

Here's a taste of Yankees rumors for a extremely snowy day all across the United States--it seems that usually gregarious New York Yankees shortstop doesn't have much to say about one of the biggest controversies surrounding the club right now.

When asked by reporters if he thought the controversial Yankees slugger would be in Spring Training camp when the team reports to Tampa Bay, Florida on Valentine's Day, Jeter simply said, "I don't know," adding "you'd have to ask him."

Alex Rodriguez had originally planned to attend Spring Training regardless of any mediation on his 162-game suspension, which was levied on A-Rod for hus purported role in the Biogenesis steroid scandal. Baseball's drug rules exempt Spring Training, only applying the suspension to games in the regular season and postseason.

As it has just been reported that the New York Yankees' third baseman has dropped his lawsuit against Bud Selig, Major League Baseball, and the MLBPA, it may behoove Alex Rodriguez to lay low for awhile--but, as has been seen over the course of this entire offseason, anything seems to be possible with Alex Rodriguez.
