ARLINGTON, Texas — When Ivan Nova woke up Tuesday morning, the right arm fatigue that forced Yankees manager Joe Girardi to remove him from Monday night’s game had subsided.
Naturally, that made the right-hander breathe easier but subsequent conversations with pitchers who have had Tommy John surgery made Nova feel even better.
Nova had Tommy John surgery late in April 2014 and found out from others the tired feeling in his triceps he experienced Monday night wasn’t out of the norm.
“I talked to guys who went through it and they said it was normal, at some point you are going to feel something.
