Portmore United beats Puerto Rico FC in 2017 CFU Club Championship

Puerto Rico FC's CONCACAF Champions League dream might be over before it really got started. The NASL club lost the second game of its 2017 Caribbean Football Club Championship Group Stage, falling 1-0 to Jamaica's Portmore United.

Downed by a late goal, PRFC now needs a lot of help if it is to get through the final round of the tournament and stay on course to qualify for the 2017-18 CCL. First, it will need Suriname's SV Transvaal to beat Portmore, and then it will need to beat Scholars International by sufficient number of goals to clinch the group on goal difference - and if Transvaal beats Portmore, that will mean PRFC needs to win by a minimum of four goals.
