Not one Caribbean team got out of the group stage of the 2017 CONCACAF Men's U-20 Championship, but Cuba made sure there will be representation of its region in the latter stage of this year's Men's U-17 tournament by posting a 2-1 win over Canada on April 25.
Much like its preceding loss to Costa Rica by the same score, Canada had its chances but didn't make them count. Cuba took the lead in the 26th minute, and doubled its lead in the 59th.
Canada got on the board in the 71st, but the equalizer never came.
