This was a new brand of ugly, but not a result the Rangers are about to complain about.
After a horrid start that was likely the worst 20 minutes the Blueshirts have played all season, they woke up and rallied, beating the Bruins, 5-2, on Wednesday night at the Garden.
It was a win that was bittersweet, not exactly the brand of hockey the Rangers (5-2-0) have established for themselves in their nice getaway from the gate. The Bruins (3-4-0) were without injured starting goalie Tuuka Rask, and were coming off an awful 5-0 loss to the Wild on Tuesday night in Boston.
