It turns out that Steven Fogarty isn’t the only one to get an entry-level contract from the New York Rangers today.
That’s right, 2012 second-round pick Cristoval ‘Boo’ Nieves has been signed to an entry-level deal. He will report to Hartford to avoid burning a year off of his deal.
Nieves has spent the past four seasons with the Michigan Wolverines of the Big Ten. He’s done well for himself on a team that traditionally boasts a lot of talent, including Kyle Connor, JT Compher and Tyler Motte, who finished as the top three scorers in college hockey this season.
