Last week, the New York Rangers completed a short, two game home stint, which went as well as possible. The Blueshirts took both games in regulation and earned four much needed points in three days. Since then, they have also beat the Canadiens, and earned another point for taking the Penguins to OT. They are hot right now and it is coming at a great time.
While the Washington Capitals were busy becoming the first NHL team to clinch home ice throughout the post-season, the Rangers started to play as if they just returned from vacation fresh and ready to make a playoff run.
